Information for Students and Teachers
There is a significant commitment required from students participating in the IDEA X Challenge. In addition to the events below, students work as a group on a continual basis from January through May, going through the design thinking process to create a plan, a model and a pitch. Teachers check in on a regular basis assisting students in working together and keeping them on track. Teachers do not offer any help in any other way.
January 19 4:30-8:30 pm: Kickoff Session at SBO (all team members and sponsor teachers must attend)

April 5 5:30-8:00 pm First Pass session at SBO (sponsor teachers not mandatory)
April 13 8:30-2:30 pm at LEC (students only) Pitch Tuning Session
May 9 8:00-3:00 IDEA Summit Event 8:30-2:30 pm at LEC (students only)
May 23 4:00-8:30 IDEA X Challenge event - Judges in the House!
