Register your team by January 11, 2019 by contacting either Tim Stephenson (tstephenson@sd35.bc.ca) or John Harris (johnharris@sd35.bc.ca). Have your team members download the IdeaX Registration form at the bottom of this page and submit all of your teams' completed forms at the "IdeaX" kickoff meeting at the board office on January 14, 2019.
INVENT, INNOVATE AND REVISE. Develop your solution using the eight step design process in the IDEA X Student Package. You solution could be any combination of products, policies or processes.
COLLABORATE. Part of your evaluation will include an assessment of how you have collaborated with a wide range of subject matter experts. Teams need to complete the Subject Expert Collaboration Template found on the Documents page.
IDEA PREVIEW. Your team must present their idea to the competition organizers in order to qualify for the final presentation. Details will be sent to you after your team has registered.
DIGITAL P.R. KIT. Your team must submit a digital P.R. Kit as specified in the IDEA X Student Package. Submissions are made to the P.R. Kit Submission page.
PRESENTATION TUNING. Final teams will meet at the School Board Office for assistance in fine-tuning their presentations.
FINAL PRESENTATION. Present your solution at the Langley IDEA SUMMIT. This will involve an 8 minute public presentation followed by a question and answer time with the judges. This will be the second of two evaluations as per the IDEA X Student Package.
