8:30 am 

1. Students arrive at LEC (we’ll need nametags with Team Name & Individual Name)
2. Ms. Tomlinson – Welcome
3. Ms. Averill – brief slide deck on things they need to look for in their presentations to refine
4. Complete the 3 Take Home Messages from IDEA X Presentation Tips handout
5. Teams at their own tables reviewing video of their Team and going through the following sheets to identify the key items that need to be refined:
   • IDEA X Slide Deck Review
   • IDEA X Presentation Review
6. Ms. Tomlinson & Ms. Averill will rotate through Teams to help and support. Team members will be working on:
   • Turning data into Infographics
   • Identifying Key images for slide deck
   • Refining items the Team has identified
7. 10:00 Break
8. Continue with pre-break activities. As Teams are finished, they should be practicing
9. 11:45 Lunch (15 minute video)
10. 12:15 Ms. Tomlinson & Ms. Averill will have Teams present for ajudication while other Teams continue working on their presentaions
11. 1:30 pm Teams will present in front of other Teams
12. 2:30 Ms. Tomlinson will need to leave
13. 2:45 Clean up
    
14. 3:00  Room must be empty

General Notes

​•Have more images in your slides than text. Visuals are your friends. They can illustrate your points and support your message.
•But do not use images to decorate! That’s a poor use of visuals because it’s just a distraction.
•Images can reinforce or complement your message. So use images to visualize or explain your story.
